Tinara is built to keep your data on your device. This page explains, plainly, what that means in practice — no account, no server, no tracking.
Nothing. Tinara has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no backend server that stores your personal data. There is nothing for us — the developer — to collect, because nothing is sent to us.
Everything you create or configure in Tinara — journal entries, sound-mix settings, frequency choices, sleep preferences — is saved only on your device, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks (SwiftData / UserDefaults). None of it is uploaded, synced to a server, or visible to anyone but you.
Tinara does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We don't measure how you use the app, and we don't show ads.
All sound generation and mixing happens entirely on your device. Tinara does not use your microphone, and no audio is recorded, transmitted, or analyzed.
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store (StoreKit) — Apple handles your payment details directly; we never see them. Purchase receipt validation is processed by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-installation identifier and purchase/transaction information — no name, email, or other personal identity. You can review RevenueCat's own privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification framework. There is no push notification server, and no notification content ever leaves your device.
Tinara does not read from or write to Apple Health in this version of the app.
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data — journal entries, preferences, and settings are removed along with it. To manage or cancel your subscription, use your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), which is entirely under Apple's control, not ours.
Tinara is not directed at children, does not collect personal information from anyone, and does not knowingly interact with children under 13.
If Tinara's data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds an optional server feature — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
